Terms of Service

Effective date: August 4, 2026

Who we are

HOP is operated by HandyHop. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the HOP platform and related services. By creating an account or using HOP, you agree to these Terms.

Service description

HOP helps businesses train AI on their business information, embed customer support experiences, and connect professional Instagram accounts so they can manage customer conversations, support requests, and—when enabled—appointments or leads more effectively. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

User accounts and account security

You must provide accurate information when creating a HOP account and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly through the HOP contact form or at info@handyhop.co.

Acceptable use

You may use HOP only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with these Terms, applicable laws, and the policies of any third-party platforms you connect (including Meta and Instagram). You must not use HOP in a way that harms HandyHop, other users, customers, or third parties.

Connecting Instagram professional accounts

If you connect a professional Instagram account to HOP, you represent that you are authorized to connect that account and to grant HOP the permissions needed to provide the integration. You remain responsible for your Instagram account, your business content, and how the integration is configured and used.

Permission to process messages

By connecting Instagram to HOP, you authorize HandyHop to process incoming customer messages, related message metadata, and connection information for the connected business so HOP can provide support, messaging assistance, and related features you enable.

AI-generated responses

HOP may generate AI-assisted replies and suggestions. AI-generated responses may contain mistakes, incomplete information, or content that does not match your business intent. Businesses remain responsible for reviewing their HOP setup, knowledge, rules, and outputs, and for ensuring customer communications are accurate and appropriate.

Appointments

If appointment features are enabled, appointments must only be confirmed using real availability that you have configured in HOP. You are responsible for keeping availability accurate and for any bookings made based on that configuration.

Prohibited conduct

You must not use HOP to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
  • Engage in unlawful messaging or other illegal activity
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Impersonate another person, business, or brand
  • Misuse Meta APIs, Instagram permissions, or related platform features

Third-party services

HOP relies on third-party services to operate, including Meta (for Instagram connectivity and messaging), hosting providers, email providers, and AI providers. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or actions by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

Service availability and changes

We aim to keep HOP reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service from time to time. We may also update these Terms; continued use of HOP after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Intellectual property

HandyHop and its licensors own HOP, including its software, branding, design, and related materials. You retain ownership of the content and business information you provide. By using HOP, you grant HandyHop a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the service for you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyHop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of HOP. HOP is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to HOP if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security or legal risk, or if continued access would harm HandyHop, other users, or third parties. You may stop using HOP at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Data and privacy

How we collect, use, and protect information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Data deletion

To request deletion of HOP / Instagram integration data, follow the process on our Data Deletion page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Courts in the Netherlands have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, unless mandatory consumer protections require otherwise.
